Explanation
Many people assume that atheism is the “default position” from which to argue about philosophy and religion. This is not true. The default position is to argue from nothing, not God, not gods, not no-god, but none of the above.
In the end, however, any argument about religion, philosophy, and science relies at it’s core on some kind faith. You must take it by faith that:
- The things a theistic creationist cannot explain are covered by either something he does not yet understand or by the supernatural work of God. OR
- The things an materialistic evolutionist cannot explain are covered by either something he does not yet understand or will not learn because it cannot be measured or observed.
That is life. Deal.
