Sterling's Truths for Life #12

Parents are not responsible for the behavior of their children.

Explanation

There is a strange notion out there that a child’s behavior is directly indicative of that child’s parents ability to raise them. While there’s an kernal of truth in that belief, it’s only a half-truth (a.k.a. a lie).

A child is responsible for his or her own behavior just as a parent is responsible for his or her own behavior.
