He who is easily amused shall never cease to be entertained.
Explanation
Oh, did you hear the one about the bed? I made it up.
People take life way too seriously. People even take their jokes way too seriously. It’s not that life is not serious, but that you can either laugh about your life or go crazy. I have seen people go crazy. I’d rather laugh and keep my wits.
Someday I want to introduce you to my stepladder. Sadly, I never knew my real ladder.
A sign of having too much pride in yourself is when someone says something about you and it hurts your feelings. Unless they are trying to hurt you, the best response much of the time is to laugh and think, “I should work on that.” We are so filled with pride, we don’t like to admit that we can be wrong, but if we were humble, it should be easy. Laughter can make it easier. (Not to say that I find this any easier than you do!)
Who is Irish and stays out all night? Patty O’Furniture.
I would rather be known as the “loud laugh guy” than most other things. I don’t want to seek happiness as a goal in and of itself, but I want to be joyful. When times are easy, I want to be the person who laughs loudest. When times are hard, I want to be the one who finds joy in the hardship, who can laugh at having to do something that I never wanted to do, who can know that there is good in a situation even when I don’t see what it could be.
I’m sorry to hear your uncle was run over by a boat in Venice. My gondolences.
Also, I truly love puns. I am sure I have annoyed my family to death with them, but the thing about dad jokes is that I just love a joke whose punchline is apparent. ðĪðĪĢððððĪŠ
