Some people really want the Bible to say anything other than what it actually says.
They are called liberal theologians. The rest of us can’t figure out why they want to be Christians at all since they object to what it means. They should just go ull The Bible is not a hard collection of writings to read or understand. There are certainly some hard parts to it. We need to strive to understand the Bible on its own terms rather than trying to figure out ways around them.
